سُورَةُ القَدۡرِ

بِّسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ إِنَّاۤ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ فِی لَیۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ (۱)

BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed this [divine writ] on Night of Destiny.

وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَیۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ (۲)

And what could make thee conceive what it is, that Night of Destiny?

لَیۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَیۡرࣱ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرࣲ (۳)

The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months:

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِیهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرࣲ (۴)

in hosts descend in it the angels, bearing divine inspiration by their Sustainer's leave; from all [evil] that may happen

سَلَـٰمٌ هِیَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ (۵)

does it make secure, until the rise of dawn.
